YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES

Scavenger Hunt
In 1997 we invited church youth groups to compete in a contest collecting goods for distribution at Christmas. These kids won our first Scavenger Hunt. Whoever brought in the most bags of goodies by the Hunt deadline became the winners! We would like to this again sometime. We provide the rules and details, your youth group could be the next winner! If you'd be interested in such an event please E-mail Cathy today or call her at 533-1064.
  1997 Champions: Generation Youth Group
Thanksgiving
Each year Wishkah School has a food drive for us, collecting canned food and money for the winter months. This is the class who delivered the goods. They receive a tour of both our facil- ities and enjoy a snack at the Friend- ship House before returning to school. We really appreciate all the work of the students and staff of Wishkah School.

Christmas
Every Christmas we have zillions of presents to wrap. We have a gift giving time for the needy at both of our shelters and we wrap prestents for the Adopt-A-Family program as well. If you'd like your students or youth group to join in on this project just E-mail or call Laurel at 533-1064.

Chapel Service
Chapel services are held each evening before dinner. Youth groups are wel- comed and encouraged to take part in this vital ministry of the Union Gospel Mission. More and more young men and women are coming in for meals all the time. Youth groups can have a profound affect on the younger age groups as well as the older. Please call Laurel at 533-1064 to schedule your youth group today!
