The Friendship
House, also part of the Union Gospel Mission was opened in 1986 to provide aid
to women and children. Our first concern is the physical needs of those who
come to our doors. James 2:16 says, "And one of you says to them,
"Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them
what is necessary for their body, what use is that?" Friendship House
seeks to meet the basic needs of food, clothing, a place to sleep and a bathe.
