Birthday Party for Jesus
Every December we hold a huge Birthday party for Jesus, inviting children from low income neighborhoods. It's a great time! There's a hot dog lunch, birthday cake for dessert, lots of games, snacks, and prizes. Each child receives a present, a color book, a stuffed animal, plus any prizes they've won during the game time. We share the blessed meaning of Christmas with them and give them the opportunity to begin attending church. In 1997 Kenny & Co. provided all the ministry and games for the day. Kenny & Co. puppet show both entertained and ministered to not only the kids but the adults as well. Believe it or not, the presents given out at our party are the only ones some of these kids will get for Christmas!	Pastor Ken Middleton

ADOPT-A-FAMILY
Each Christmas we accept applicants needing presents for their family and match them up with people willing to "adopt" them. Adopting a family means you are willing to buy gifts for the whole family. You may also provide a holiday meal if you like. You can meet the family or remain anonymous. We collect the information needed for the "providers" to purchase gifts, like sizes, Christmas wishes, and if they're buying for boys or girls. Each year this program grows, in fact it about doubled in 1997! Those volunteering to "adopt" are have been members of employee groups, church groups, civic clubs, as well individuals.
