Subject: GHME, LLC Class - Motorcycle Safety

Dear Mr. Spurgeon -

 

I just completed the GHME, LLC class in Aberdeen this past weekend.  I had previously taken a class in Western Washington from the xxxxx xxxxxx Safety Education organization.  I wanted you to know that the GHME, LLC class is far superior to the one from xxxx.  The course content was much more inclusive and the instructors were much more engaging.  We learned many more riding skills and covered many more techniques than in the previous class.  But above and beyond that, the instructors insured the riders actually learned the various skills before they moved on.   They were extremely encouraging, wonderful coaches, and thoughtful instructors.  It was clearly evident their sole interest (beyond safety, of course) is that each rider had an opportunity to learn what was being taught.  This was not the case in the previous class, where I felt we were provided the minimum and pushed on whether we learned it or not.

 

The in-class instruction was much better as well.   Since I work in the field of education, I can say without hesitation that Rick is a fabulous teacher.  He used a variety of techniques to address the needs of all members in the class and included a wonderful sense of humor throughout to keep students encouraged and engaged. 

 

I personally think his class should be used as a model for all motorcycle instruction.  It was the most worthwhile three days I have spent with any instructor for a very long time.  This is definitely a top notch program and one that bears recognition.  I have already recommended it to friends.

I hope to have the opportunity to take an advanced course in the future.
