"Very nice - fun to wake to the fishing boats." |
While you are watching the moonlight ripple across the ocean from the balcony of your second-story Harbor Resort motel room and listening to the waves wash up on the jetty rocks below, you congratulate yourself for having made the best buy on a room in Westport.
The reasonable rates, combined with the unique atmosphere, earned us mention in Susan Irving’s book Northwest Cheap Sleeps, where she correctly points out whales can be seen from the rooms. In the off-season (November to March) motel rooms are priced at $45, with kitchenettes going for $49. During the season, rooms cost $49, with kitchenettes at $59. All rooms are clean, cozy, second-story units, complete with cable television. There is also a large front window to take advantage of the spectacular view of Grays Harbor and the lights of the Westport Boat Basin. Kitchenettes have a kitchen sink, of course, along with a small refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee pot. Some rooms can be combined into a suite for four by opening a door between them. Most of the rooms have one comfortable queen-sized bed, although some rooms also have another bed. The deck allows you to visit with your neighbors, who may also be out watching the fishing boats parade in a and out of the working harbor. The Harbor Resort attracts guests from throughout the country and world, so on any given night, you might meet people from Germany, Great Britain, Korea, Japan or Texas. We entertained guests from all these locales and more last year and we look forward to entertaining you when your destination is Westport. |
