Erosion Photos

Photos by Brady Engvall

#1 shows last years picture of the erosion on the west side of Half Moon Bay.  In the mid-left hand side of the picture( at 9:00 o'clock) it shows a clump of Marram grass.  Notice that there is land between the grass and eroded bank.

#2 is today's picture 11/15/01.  In the center of the picture is a clump of Marram grass on the bank of the current erosion.  The new erosion encroachment is about 20' to 30' as I remember it from keeping track of it this summer as we walked the beach.

The interesting thing is that the erosion is a much larger area now as it is stretching out laterally on both sides of last years more localized event.
