  • The class of ’65 is having its 40th reunion August 5th and 6th, 2005 at the Quinault Casino at Ocean Shores. We are looking for the addresses of some of our classmates.   • Andrea Roy (Class of 1996) and John Conley (Aberdeen) were married in Copalis Beach on April 24, 2004.
  • Amy Wayman (Class of 1997) and Sean Masters (Tucson, AZ) were married in Las Vegas, NV on Dec. 2, 2000.
  • Sarah Lund (Class of 1997) was married in Vancouver, WA on April 18th 1999 to Jason Ramsdell. They recently had their first child, Ethan Joshua, on September 25th 2000.
  • Sunshyne Cleverly (Class of 1998) and Josh Kersker (Class of 1994) got married on March 25th 2000. They had a baby girl... Adria Janelle on December 20th 2000.
  • Keith Walker (Class of 1994) and Holly Chamberlain are engaged and planning a September wedding.
  • Jon Parker (Class of 1995) and Danielle De La Cruz were married March 11, 2000 at the Parker home in Hoquiam.
  • Scott Davison (Class of 1985) was united in marriage on August 20th, 1999 to Karen Bussler in Vancouver, WA.
  • Carrie Roman (Class of 1991) weds Michael Erwin ( Weatherwax Class of 1989) on May 15, 1999.
  • Amy Hyde (Class of 1995) and Jonathon Hendricks (Ocean Shores) exchanged wedding vows on April 3rd, 1999 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center.
  • Natalie Graham (Class of 1997) and Jack Arthaud (Class of 1995) marry on June 19, 1999.
  • Christina Muhlhauser and Norman Goodenough were united in marriage on April 9, 1999.
  • Coni Sudderth (Class of 1992) and Trevor Severance (Ohio) planning a ceremony on May 29th, 1999.
  • Jennifer Huhn (Class of 1980) and George Firman (Ukiah, CA) wed on October 17, 1998.
  • Carrie Sturgill (Class of 1992) and Aaron Smith (Aberdeen) were married on September 19, 1998.
  • Jonnel Arthaud (Class of 1992) and Joshua Bowser (Seattle) are engaged to be married on September 26, 1998.
  • Shayne Reynvaan (Class of 1991) and Garett Folkers (Aberdeen-1989) tie the knot on August 2, 1997
  • Melissa Dena (Class of 1989) and Daniel Van Ogle (Class of 1988) wed on beaches of Hawaii on April 19, 1997.
  • Joseph Manley (Class of 1994) and Shari Frafjord exchanged vows on August 16, 1997.
  • Juliet Beach (Class of 1995) weds Christopher Mazza on August 9th, 1997.
  • Sandra Lee Brown (Class of 1981) marries Robert Lassiter (Chesapeake, VA) on July 19, 1997.
  • Suzie LeCount and Michael Blundred planning an October 18th wedding.
  • Kari Brakus (Class of 1992) and Brandon Wild (Class of 1991) were married on August 2nd.
  • Daniel Earley (Class of 1988) and Mindy Scure (Aberdeen) were married July 19th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen.
  • Toni Branshaw (Class of 1969) and Kurt Beidler (Elma) were married on September 20th in the early afternoon at Huber's Gasthaus in Olympia. The couple met over 3 years ago through their love of cars and motor sports, and became engaged last summer while in San Francisco.
  • Dean Morgan (Class of 1990) and Jennifer Williams (Tacoma) wedding set for September 20th.
  • Angela Messmer (Class of 1992) and John Clements (Class of 1990) married on September 26th.
    Deaths:
     
  • Margie Wilson-Constantine, Class of 1963, passed away suddenly on August 13th, 2005 while on vacation with her twin daughters in Spokane.
  • Roberta Scott Smathers, Class of 1962, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, 2000. She lived her entire married life in Albuquerque, NM. and leaves two children and her husband.

    Her mother, Alma Scott, a Hoquiam Jr. High Home Economics teacher passed away the next year on the 4th of July 2001. She taught for many years at Hoquiam Jr. High in late 50's and 60's.

  • Richard Miller, vice president of the Class of 1972 passed away recently as a result of a heart attack.
  • Joshua L. Nilsson, Class of 1990 passed away on December 13th 2004, age 32 of cancer.
  • Larry Eddleman, Class of 1975, was killed in a car accident on February 28, 2005.
  • Alan Rye (Class of 1970) died on July 6, 2004 in Dayton after battling cancer.
  • Scott Shay (Class of 1970) passed away on April 1, 2004 after fighting cancer with great inner strength and a tireless sense of humor. We'll miss you so much Scott.
  • Steve Barrett (Class of 1967) died on Sunday, November 2nd, 2003 of heart failure.
  • Longtime Hoquiam resident Michael Allen Wood, 43, died on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, near Westport as a result of an automobile accident. Mike was born on May 11, 1959, at Oak Harbor to Robert Allen and Mary Louise (Johnson) Wood. His family moved to Aberdeen when he was an infant, and then moved to Hoquiam where he went to Lincoln School, Hoquiam Junior High School and Hoquiam High.
  • Ken Lundeen (Class of 1960) died at his Hoquiam home on November 4, 2002.
  • Lifelong Hoquiam resident Melissa A. Miller Bullington, 36, (Class of 1983) died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, in Grays Harbor Community Hospital at Aberdeen. Missy was born Feb. 24, 1965, at Aberdeen to Leighton R. "Chick" and Phyllis Marie (Dick) Miller. In 1983, she graduated from Hoquiam High School, where she had participated in many activities, including basketball. She also played Little League baseball.
  • Kurtis M. Swaney,(Class of 1985) 35, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in Shelton. He was born Dec. 24, 1965, in Portland, Ore., to Edward and Carma Swaney.
  • Gary Richardson (Class of 1970) passed away on July 26, 2002.
  • Barbara MacFadyen Stenblom (Class of 1954) died of a heart attack after a routine operation on March 16, 2002. ( View article here.)
  • Marilee "Micki" McMonagle Colwell (Class of 1961) is claimed by a sudden heart attack on May 27, 2001.
  • Keith Carriker (Class of 1979); On Sunday the 27th of August 2000, Keith lost his battle with brain cancer. He was a good happy guy that the world will miss. Think Yellow : )

  • Fred Dineen, 74, (Class of 1945) died on March 31, 2001 in Ocean Shores.
  • Bill Bradbury, HHS class of 1960, died of a heart attack Wednesday, January 17th. Bill graduated from HHS in 1960 and while attending GHC, Bill began working at KHOK/KGHO Radio in Hoquiam. Known professionally at "BR Bradbury", he then went to KOL, Seattle, KFRC, San Francisco, and KHJ, Los Angeles where he was an award-winning newsman. Bill returned to the Northwest in 1985 to work at KJR, Seattle, then finished his radio career at a station in Vancouver, BC. For the past five years he lived in Blaine, WA and was employed in the insurance business.
  • Bill Patterson, (Class of 1948) lost his battle with cancer on July 9, 2000.
  • Bill Hyndman, 46, (Class of 1972) passed away on July 14, 2000 after a long battle with cancer.
  • Aileen (Tasanen) Ferguson, (Class of 1931) passed away on December 17th, 1998.
  • Ruth Young Frazier, 46, (Class of 1972) was a victim of homicide on April 17, 2000.
  • Arne Salonen, 84, former City Councilman and father to my dear friends Steve Salonen and Sally Roach, died September 23, 1999 in Hoquiam.
  • Dorothy Mathias Josephson, (Class of 1939) passed away February 13, 1999 in Olympia.
  • Sam Satlow, Jr., (Class of 1938) died after a short illness on August 28, 1999.
  • Laura A. Boles, 20, died in an automobile accident in Alaska on August 15, 1999.
  • William Sharkey Brooks, (Class of 1977) passed away in August 1998 in Tigard, Oregon.
  • Rainer B. Heikel, 80, (Class of 1937) died in Aberdeen on May 24, 1999.
  • Suzanne Wallace Maki, 78, (Class of 1939) passed away May 31, 1999 at her home in Centralia.
  • Bob Bublitz, 74, (Class of 1942) died May 19, 1999 in Aberdeen.
  • Monroe "Monte" Kosoff, 86, (Class of 1931) died May 6, 1999 at GH Community Hospital. Many will remember Mr. Kosoff pushing a broom down the halls of Central Grade School. I have fond memories of him both as a custodian and a gentle man.

  • John H. Abel, long time Hoquiamite, died of cancer on February 28, 1999
  • Louise Strom Nalder, (Class of 1956) February 22, 1999 after long illness of multiple sclerosis
