In the nature of God, Amen, I, James Crumley, Cordwainer, of Frederick
County
and Colony of Virginia, being at present in perfect health and memory ... do make
this my last Will and Testament in matter and form following:
To son, John Crumley, 219 acres of land
To sons, Henry and William Crumley 644 acres to be equally divided between them.
To granddaughter, Ruth Doster, 100 acres
To loving wife, Catherine Crumley, the plantation whereon I now live during
her life while she continues uned the name Crumley, upon her decease to go to
my youngest son, Samuel Crumley.
I will that the rest of my estate be equally divided betwixt my five children, viz.,
Mary, John, William, Henry, and Samuel.
To my brother, Thomas Crumley, fifteen pounds current money.
Lastly I appoint my beloved friend, Robert Cunningham, and my well beloved wife
Catherine Crumley, executors of this my last Will and Testament, revoking all other
Wills and Testament this 17th of June, 1757.
