In the era of political correctness, David Mamet has created a power struggle between a college professor and one of his female students who accuse him of sexual exploitation and, by doing so, spoils his chances of being accorded tenure. The line is drawn and sides are taken, and the dispute often spills out into the audience and continues long after leaving the theatre.
