GLASS FISHING FLOATS CLASSIFICATIONS
Authentic: These are genuine used glass fishing floats. These floats are heavy glass and normally show wear, such as scars and scrapes. These floats can sometimes be found with the makers trademark embossed on the glass. These markings can be found on the areas listed below:

Contemporary: These floats are good quality heavy glass and come in beautiful colors. No scars or scrapes, no signs of usage. These float were made as early as the late 1940´s up to the late 1960´s. Made for shell shops, gift shops, restaurant decor.
Curio: These floats are thin flimsy glass. No float of this consistency could hold up to high seas fishing. They come in an array of beautiful colors, made in the late 1960´s to Present day to be sold in the shell shops, gift shops and other areas.
Sizes: The ways to measure glass floats are confusing for most people. If you take a measuring tape and measure around the float, that is the circumference, if you divide that number by 3.14 that is the diameter of a float. If you are measuring a roller or a odd shaped float, you would measure both the length and the diameter of the float for the description.
